Poker Book Review
Have I been asleep, or we have not attempted to pull the poker on the garbage the public for 10 or 20 years? Have we not tried to clean it so it can take its place alongside all the other major sports mental? Have we not huge legal and political battles of every day in this country on freedom only to allow the right of free people to practice their sport great when, where and how they choose?
Unfortunately, our species seems to be haunted by the ghosts of the Riverboat Gamblers, saloon serious, tricks and cheats. In any case, a lot of good people still think of poker, only one of the ways bad. One, that the protection of society should be governed by the laws of death.
Then come together again, poker champion world-class, Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, with a fat, whiny autobiographical tabloid. Matusow will be headlining for poker fierce opposition? Does his book becomes their evidence in the courtroom of public opinion? And to add fuel to their continued resistance? Probably.
Public opinion can be fickle, and easy to handle. Ask any politician. Ask any lawyer. Matusow possibly the world’s ways, but still naive when it comes to the way in the world.
Well, what happens, happens. Meanwhile, Matusow in his autobiography, Check-Raising the Devil, rises higher calling masses winning poker. In his book, he pulls back the curtain to reveal elements of life that few of us know or understand – a deep depression and addiction.
They say prevention is worth a pound of cure. What they often fail to say is that prevention depends on knowledge. In this spirit, Matusow made a valuable contribution to the knowledge of all humanity, especially for those who suffer. I suppose that information can travel in the most unlikely of packages.
And if the thought can, exciting entertainment. Once you start reading the book Matasow, and until he has finished, you will find yourself wanting to reorganize their lives. Maybe even to the point of skipping the game of poker. The book is so difficult to land. Especially when you start to see real life, at least Matusow’s life is more fun than any other best-selling fiction in everything.
